Preventer Mobile Suit
OZ-00MS2B Tallgeese III
Pilot / Zechs Merquise
Gundam War Pilot/ Treize
This final incarnation of the legendary Tallgeese was created by Treize Khushrenada during the cataclysmic Eve Wars. Though it was made at the same time as Treize's Tallgeese II, the third version's advanced weaponry took longer to complete, and it never reached the battlefield. After the end of the war the Tallgeese III ended up in the hands of Preventer, the Earth Sphere Unified Nation's elite intelligence agency. In AC 196, it's at last used in combat by the mysterious agent known as "Preventer Wind"...

The Tallgeese III is basically identical to the original Tallgeese, with some modifications to its head and shoulders. Its armament, however, far surpasses that of its forebears. The shield attached to its left shoulder houses an extendable heat rod based on that of the Gundam Epyon, as well as a pair of regular beam sabers. The Tallgeese III can also carry a huge mega cannon, whose maximum output rivals that of the Wing Gundam Zero's twin buster rifle.

Londo Bell Mobile Suit
RX-93-v2 Hi-Nu Gundam
Pilot / Amuro Ray
Gundam War Pilot/ Gundam_25
The Hi-Nu Gundam doesn't actually appear in the animated version of Char's Counterattack. Rather, this is the version of the RX-93 Nu Gundam used in the novelization of Char's Counterattack, written by director Yoshiyuki Tomino. (The "Hi-Nu" moniker is presumably a reference to the novel's original title, "Hi-Streamer.")

While the orthodox Nu Gundam was the product of a rushed development schedule, the Hi-Nu reflects what Amuro's personal mobile suit could have been with additional development and testing time. One key design improvement is the addition of funnel pods on its back, to which the fin funnels are attached in wing-like fashion. When connected to these pods, the fin funnels can be refueled and recharged, greatly extending their useful lifespan.

For maximum firepower, the Hi-Nu can be outfitted with an optional hyper mega bazooka launcher. In the Char's Counterattack novelization, this weapon is hooked up to the main engine of the Londo Bell flagship Ra Cailum via a pair of energy transmission cables, allowing Amuro to bombard the runaway asteroid Axis.

Participant Suits

Neo Japan Mobile Fighter
GF13-017NJII God Gundam
Gundam Fighter / Domon Kasshu
Gundam War Pilot/ Kool_Kid521
Midway through the 13th Gundam Fight, Neo Japan's Domon Kasshu receives a substitute mobile fighter to replace the battered Shining Gundam. Far superior to its predecessor - even its normal mode outperforms the Shining Gundam's super mode - the God Gundam can also slip with relative ease into its high-powered hyper mode, which is distinguished by the halo-like field that surrounds the radiator fins on its backpack. Under extreme conditions, the God Gundam's chest opens to reveal an "energy multiplier" that further boosts its operator's power level.

The God Gundam's armament is likewise improved, with an extra pair of head vulcans and multi-barreled machine cannons in its shoulders. Its finishing move, the Bakunetsu God Finger, is far more devastating than the original Shining Finger. In all, the God Gundam is more than a match for the other contestants in the Gundam Fight, but its awesome power still pales in comparison to that of the Devil Gundam and its minions.

Neo Zeon Mobile Suit
MSN-04II Nightingale
Pilot / Char Aznable
Gundam War Pilot/ Crystal Cat

This mobile suit doesn't actually appear in the animated version of Char's Counterattack. Rather, the Nightingale is from the novelization of Char's Counterattack, written by director Yoshiyuki Tomino, in which it takes the place of the MSN-04 Sazabi.

The massive Nightingale is a further evolution of the Sazabi's design, halfway between a mobile suit and a mobile armor. Its shoulder armor sports ten funnels - scaled-down versions of those used by the NZ-333 Alpha Azieru - and it's armed with a powerful mega beam rifle. The Nightingale's skirt armor also houses a pair of "hidden hands" like those of the PMX-003 The O, which unfold to help defend its bulky body in melee combat.
